What does an SEO service in the Philippines cover?

It depends on the provider, so separate the channels before you compare anyone. A "digital marketing" package can bundle website SEO with Google Ads, Facebook page management and Google Business Profile upkeep. Those are different jobs with different skills, and one monthly fee can hide which of them you are paying for.

We do the website side of search:

  • Website SEO. Research into what your buyers type, then service, product and location pages that answer it in their words.
  • Technical SEO. The crawling, indexing, speed and redirect problems that keep good pages out of Google. See technical SEO.
  • AI search. How ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and similar tools describe and cite your business. See AI search optimization.
  • Migrations and redesigns. Keeping your search visibility when the site changes platform, domain or structure. See SEO migration.
  • Measurement. Counting the calls and form enquiries the site produces, so the work is judged on the same records your sales team uses.

We do not run Google Ads, manage your Business Profile, handle reviews or post on your Facebook page. We explain those channels on this page because they affect how customers find you, and because you may already have someone doing them.

What are buyers searching for when they look for SEO in the Philippines?

More of them search for a person than for a firm. Google Keyword Planner shows "seo specialist philippines" at 880 searches a month from the Philippines, against 480 for "seo services philippines" and 320 each for "philippines seo company" and "seo agency philippines". The same table shows demand from abroad: 210 monthly US searches for "seo services philippines", and 210 more for "seo pricing philippines", which is more than the 140 that pricing search gets from the Philippines itself.

Google Keyword Planner, average monthly searches, September 2025 to August 2026, English, Google Search. Captured 11 October 2026. A dash means below Google's reporting floor, not zero demand. Google merges close variants, so some rows share a figure.

Read that as two groups of buyers: Philippine owners and marketing heads comparing local providers, and foreign companies pricing a team here. This page is written for the first group. The second has its own guide to outsourcing SEO to the Philippines.

When we captured the search "seo services philippines" from the Philippines on 11 October 2026, two of the nine organic results were directory rankings (Clutch and The Manifest). A directory is a fair way to build a shortlist. It cannot tell you who will do the work on your site, which is the question the next section answers.

How do you compare SEO providers in the Philippines?

Compare who does the work, who changes the website, who owns the accounts and what gets reported. Two proposals at the same fee can buy very different things. Our guide to SEO pricing in the Philippines reads published Philippine offers line by line, so this page does not repeat it.

Who works on my account, by name?

Why it matters

A senior person may sell the engagement and a junior team may deliver it. Both can work if you know which one you are getting.

Who edits the website?

Why it matters

A list of recommendations that waits on your web developer changes nothing. Ask whether the provider implements or hands over.

Who owns Search Console, Analytics and the Business Profile?

Why it matters

You should. Google lets you add a provider as a user or a manager on your own accounts, so nobody needs your password.

What does the monthly report count?

Why it matters

Rankings and visits are inputs. Ask for calls, forms and enquiries, checked against your own records.

Can you issue a BIR-registered invoice?

Why it matters

Under Revenue Regulations 7-2024 the invoice is the primary document for a sale of services, and the official receipt is supplementary. Your accountant will ask for it.

Will you see customer details from our forms?

Why it matters

Then the provider processes personal information on your behalf, and the Data Privacy Act keeps your business responsible for how they handle it.

Questions to put to any provider, including us.

For the choice between an agency, a specialist and your own hire, see SEO agency, freelancer or in-house. To test a quote, take what one new client is worth to you in pesos and put it through the break-even calculator. It shows how many extra enquiries a monthly fee has to produce to pay for itself.

How does local search work in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao?

Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and states that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking (Google Business Profile Help). Distance does real work in a dense city. A customer searching from Makati and one searching from Quezon City are different distances from your branch, so one head-office address covers less of Metro Manila than most owners expect.

Three details trip up Philippine businesses in particular:

  • Virtual offices. Google does not accept a virtual office as a Business Profile address, and a co-working space qualifies only with clear signage, your own staff and customers received during business hours (Google's guidelines).
  • Unit, floor and building addresses. Google asks for the physical address on the first line and the suite or floor on the second. Write the unit, building, street, barangay and city the same way on your profile, your website, your Facebook page and Waze.
  • Verification. Google decides which verification methods you are offered, based on your business type, region and hours, and you cannot change them (Google's verification help). Be ready to show the actual premises on video if that is the method you get.

Customers here also find businesses through Facebook, Waze and Grab, and some type their searches in Filipino or Taglish. Our local SEO guide for the Philippines covers each of those. We do not manage Business Profiles. The website your profile links to is where we work: one clear page for each real service and each real branch, written for the customer in that area.

Does AI search matter for Philippine businesses?

It matters wherever it already sits above the results, and that includes searches made from the Philippines. Our 11 October 2026 capture of "seo services philippines" showed a Google AI Overview on the results page. AI tools assemble their answers from what the web says about a business, so a thin website and an address written five different ways weaken the picture they draw of you.

Know two things before you buy AI-search work. AI tools name businesses more often than they link to them, so a mention and a citation are separate measures. And answers change from one run to the next, so a single screenshot is a snapshot, not a finding. We measure across repeated runs. See AI search optimization and why a business may not show in AI search.

Can a foreign company hire an SEO team in the Philippines?

Yes, and the Keyword Planner table above shows foreign buyers looking. We work remotely for businesses in the US, the UK and Australia as well as at home. The questions a foreign buyer should settle first (time zones, who does the work, account access and contracts) are in our outsourcing guide.

How does Strata work with Philippine businesses?

We are founder-led. The founder leads strategy and the final review, and scoped specialists support research, writing and implementation. Engineering is part of the work, so every proposal states who changes your site.

Our published results include two engagements delivered in the Philippines: JS Wallmatrix and E-GMP. Read them for how we diagnose a site and how we count what the work produced.

We do not publish a price. We quote after a diagnosis, because a site with an indexing problem needs different work from a site that is missing its service pages. Start with the free site check: one useful finding about your website within two business days, with no call required.

Questions Philippine businesses ask us

How much does SEO cost in the Philippines?

Published offers from Philippine providers vary widely, and the fee alone rarely tells you the scope. Our SEO pricing guide compares published packages with their units kept visible. We do not publish a price; we quote after diagnosing your site. Before comparing quotes, work out what a new client is worth to you in pesos and run it through the break-even calculator.

Who is the best SEO specialist in the Philippines?

There is no neutral ranking, and that includes the directory lists that appear for this search. The right provider for you has done work close to your problem, tells you who does the work, implements changes or has a clear handoff, and reports enquiries rather than rankings. Ask for an example from a similar website and the measurement period behind it.

Should I hire an SEO specialist or an SEO agency?

A specialist suits a focused job when you already have a developer to implement it. An agency suits continuing work that needs research, writing and development together. The deciding questions are who is accountable and who changes the site. Our agency, freelancer or in-house comparison sets out the trade-offs.

Do you manage Google Business Profiles or Facebook pages?

No. We work on the website, technical SEO and AI search. If the profile's address, category or website link is undermining the site, we say so, and you or whoever manages the profile makes the change. Google's Business Profile guidelines are the rulebook for that work.

Do you work with businesses outside Metro Manila?

Yes. We work remotely, so a business in Cebu, Davao or the provinces is handled the same way as one in Makati. We look at the cities you actually serve rather than writing a page for every city name, because Google treats near-identical pages aimed at different cities as doorway abuse.

Send us your site. We'll send back one useful finding.
